skies don’t lie

It’s been an epic couple of days in Sydney. The weather’s brewed for another tough set of conditions. Thanks to living next to a bush fire volunteer for three years, I now understand the pressures, dangers of their roles and the value of sweeping out our own gutters each year. The last two mornings have welcomed one and all with the smell of distant flames. For some, those fires have licked too close and my heart goes out to everyone affected. Safe within the city towers, the skies told of people’s sorrow and tenacity:
